Sprint 5 - Cultural
Core learnings

What are three new things you have learned about yourself and your ego as a result of the core learning?

I realize that I need to build up a bit of self esteem and try to become comfortable in discusing a problem with others.

Another thing is, I need to work on my EQ as well.

Lastly, I will have to practice a lot to master my listening skills. This is very important as I might misinterpret important details.

What are the role of values, empathy and self awareness in learning and programming?

Anyone can study programming but it takes a lot of work and dedication to become a programmer. The journey can be tough and confusing but the feeling on creating a program from scratch is positively indescribable.

What has surprised you the most about the core learning?
Realisation of some parts of myself that I haven't notice before.
What were the most challenging aspects of the core learning?
Implementing it to oneself. Learning to adapt to things that are out of your comfort zone.
Why do you think we, a programming school, are spending so much time focusing on core learning in a web development bootcamp course?
To teach us proper ethics as well as how to work with other programmers. By working together, we can be more effifient and productive.
Does the time you spent studying core learning here feel like a waste of time? Should you have just used that time to practicing programming instead? Justify your answer.
Not at all, it can be a pain in reading all those articles but I find it really helpfull and I'm actually applying some of them in my daily life.
Preping for Bootcamp

What is your long term goal and/or career pathway?
My long term goal is to become a full stack developer and not limited to web apps but also other programming language such as python, c# and much more. I'm hoping to acquire new technical skills that are popular with the current times.
What do you think your biggest strengths and limitations will be in Bootcamp?

Bountiful of crazy and meaningful ideas to work with as well as an openminded with optimistic attitude in working with teams.

My only limitations are not speaking clearly and accurately on what those ideas are.

What do you think your biggest non-technical challenge at Bootcamp will be?
Coordinating with teammates. I always work on a project by myself, I just hope that things will go smoothly when working with others.
What non-technical skills - human skills - would you like to see developed in yourself while at EDA?
I really want to improve on how I explain or discuss something to others more clearly.
What are your expectations of yourself on Bootcamp
Having fun and making new programmer friends along the way. Learning tons of neat technical stuff and implementing it as soon as possible.
